Ingredients
 

  • 1 whole pompano fish, cleaned
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Pat the cleaned pompano fish dry with paper towels. Rub the fish all over with a light coating of cooking oil.
  • Season generously with salt and pepper, both inside the cavity and on the skin.
  • Lightly oil the air fryer basket or tray to prevent sticking.
  • Place the seasoned pompano fish in the basket or on the tray.
  • Air fry for 15-20 minutes, depending on the size of the fish. Flip the fish halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
  • Check for doneness: The fish should be golden and crispy on the outside, and the flesh should be opaque and easily flake with a fork.
  • Remove the fish from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Serve hot with a side of your choice, such as steamed vegetables or rice.

Notes

Dry the Fish Well - Pat the fish dry with paper towels before seasoning. This helps achieve a crispy exterior when air frying.
